Yikes! It is March and we are still catching our breath… El Stitch y Bitch has great plans for 2010, and after the great two short years we’ve had, we plan on making this year just as fabulous! We are still meeting regularly at various cafes and homes in the Pilsen, Bridgeport and Little Village neighborhoods and talks of Berwyn-takeover are in the mix. We have some fun workshops coming up! Bibi and Naomi (aka Monstrochika) are working on a Toy Making workshop; we also have more Beginner’s Nights coming up, Hat Making, and we are looking for your suggestions on future workshops. Other adventures we are planning include, Male Knitting Night, Milwaukee road-trip, bringing in a guest knitter every now and then, and mucho mucho mas!

We also have some sweet projects to share! One of our fabulous crafters, Jessica Phillips has been hookin’ up a storm lately. She has been making some beautiful flowers, which she admits have been quite the addiction. Here is the link to this lovely little red flower:

If you like this one, check out Lion Brand‘s beautiful Tradescantia and Chrysanthemum patterns too!

And, since we are a community, we wanted to share a great new blog that is up and running. Music lovers Edgar Baca and Charly Garcia are the minds behind (((Sonorama))). They are offering their audiences some great history on the music they love, some sweet tracks here and there and a weekly podcast. Check it out! Did we mention they are quite foxy?! 😉

Please be on the lookout for more updates and more great projects that El Stitch y Bitch members are working on!
